Although, I am sure this is a fine windoze app. I was hoping to run it under wine on Ubuntu 9.04. Alas, it does not run out of the box on wine and will look into what specific wine configuration is required and post later.

Converting M4a to MP3
I actually looked at the websites and links recommended and found that most were selling something.
My problem was that I use a mac and I recorded my podcast using Garage Band and imported to iTunes.
I wanted to add the podcast to a slideshare presentation I made, and that only accepted MP3. I discovered there's a very easy way of doing this which is:
1. Go to iTunes Preferences
2. Click General
3. In the middle you are asked: When you insert a CD:.....and to the far right you will see: Import Settings...click this
4. You will then be given the choice of import setting, which includes MP3...

Quite easy but took me ages to get there...

Works as advertised. I couldn't get Garageband to reverse a track, so did it another way, but this left me with WAV file I couldn't reimport. AAC saved the project.

IVR convertion

I had downloaded AAC CONVERTER to try if the app could convert ivr extension (Real Player stream extension). But the app doesn't convert this type of file.
